Hebrews 12:26-28

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Why we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Departure Day

Akua Smith: Posted on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 11:26 AM

We fly out today! We will be going to Uganda and Southern Sudan!

In short:

We will be installing a well in Rakai (location of the first reported HIV case in Uganda). We will be visiting and funding our WEEP women's groups and their self sustaining projects (goats, chickens, pigs, bees, agriculture, etc). We will also be identifying and building relationships, preaching, teaching, ministering and singing; and finally, we will be open to all other opportunities that cross our paths.

It's Not All Up to Me!

Morning walks with Jesus are so delightful! This week after Easter is so joyful! Today there are two scenes that can become reality. Unbelief: Walking down cornstalk rows~ dryness has sucked the green away leaving short brittle light brown leaves and stalks. However, I choose the second way of belief where the rain of the Holy Spirit falls: picture walking down the rows of green leaves speaking in secret whispers as the breeze moves through them.

I follow Jesus in His white robes as he seems to walk in victory and confidence of a great harvest. Hidden by the tall plants, I can hear voices, but not see speakers; they are laughing and celebrating.

“Jesus”, I call out, “what is happening”? He seems to almost be dancing with happiness. At the end of the row, He stops and turns to face me. In His hand is an ear of corn. He shucks it and holds up the golden perfectly lined up kernels

“Every kernel is like a seed of My Word that can be planted. This field is full of seeds that will be planted into the hearts of My people in these last days. What part do you want to take, Mary?”

Wasn’t expecting this question, and a small feeling of doubt was worming into my heart. “Jesus, You know all things, and You see what is in my heart~ a fear I ‘cannot succeed, will fail’. What is the root of that lack of confidence Jesus? Help me find it!”

Jesus takes me to a log at the end of the field and we sit facing the corn. “What do you see Mary?”

“A whole field of waving green,” I respond

“And what is being hidden by the green?”

“Many ears of golden corn Lord.”

“Go and pick as many as you can. Go!” Soon I return with an armful.

“Is that as many as you can carry?”

“Yes Lord.”

“Now let me show you what I can do”.

Heavenly "machines" begin marching down the rows and before long, all the corn is gathered and in the barn.

“What could we do together Mary?” Chagrined, I realize I was thinking it was all up to me. No wonder doubt could sneak into my mind!

Jesus, help me remember this picture before I leave home each day, and walk with me as a guide throughout each moment. Jesus anoint each kernel of Your Word that comes from my mouth to take root in many hearts.

I know that when You work with me and through me, miracles can occur.

John 14:12-13 (AMP)

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you,

if anyone steadfastly believes in Me,

he will himself be able to do the things that I do;

and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

13 And I will do [I Myself will grant]

whatever you ask in My Name

[as presenting all that I Am],

so that the Father may be glorified

and extolled in (through) the Son

Teach me Jesus.

How far are You willing to go with Jesus?
